Darlene and Whitney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
So the idea for Her Secret Garden V-Steam & Spa came about a few years ago. Darlene and Whitney were looking for more holistic, natural services to offer clients. Both Darlene and Whitney have been in the beauty industry for over 15+ years.
We both took on a more holistic approach to living and wanted to incorporate that into our businesses. We came up with adding vaginal steaming after Darlene received her first steam as an emotional release after divorce. The experience was great and after doing some research they decided to become certified vaginal steam facilitators. Being able to offer a service to our clients that help them heal themselves is priceless. Vaginal steaming has been around for centuries and women all around the world have taken their power back through steaming with herbs.
Her Secret Garden V-Steam & Spa offers full spa services along with the vaginal steaming services. Incorporating vaginal steaming into her skin care practice Darlene says has helped tremendously. The correlation between reproductive and digestive health and skincare are eye-opening. Healing the gut and hormonal issues help to alleviate many common skin care issues we face as women. Our approach is whole body – take care of your temple and it will take care of you. We both preach proper diet and exercise and offer recommendation on herbal supplements and services to enhance the quality of life.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We would say the biggest struggle thus far is educating women on the benefits and importance of self-care. Trying to find a sweet spot to educate and share knowledge on the wonderful benefits of taking care of self. Most women will take care of their hair but convincing them of taking care of their skin or how vaginal steaming can help relieve PMS symptoms, reoccurring issues, and even acne is a little harder. Most are scared to try new things and we are a society taught to take a pill or slather on a cream for instant results all the while only treating the symptoms and not the underlying issues. The struggle is real when a woman will pay $1500 on a bag but has never received a facial in her life. We are trying to break thru this narrative.

We are a woman-owned spa located in Frisco, TX specializing in vaginal steaming, corrective skin care, waxing and eyelash extensions. At Her Secret Garden V-Steam & Spa, we pride ourselves on taking special care of our clients. If you’ve ever been in you know Darlene is a wealth of knowledge and enjoys sharing information and talking about the services offered. We wanted to create a space for women to feel comfortable and confident in their natural beauty and womanhood! We are most proud that we get to bring this knowledge and wisdom to so many women.
