Today we’d like to introduce you to Darlene Odoemena.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey started in 2008 with an iPhone 3G, I remember I showed a few friends all the pictures that I had taken and they couldn’t believe that I took those pictures with a phone. Ever since then people would always tell me that I’m sitting on a gold mine and I need to take photography more seriously. Through the years I perfected my skills, and in the summer of 2018. I became the lead photographer for a behind the scenes music video. From that point on the ball has been rolling and it hasn’t slowed down since.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m always on a roller coaster ride when it comes to this entrepreneur lifestyle lol. My confidence with my work can be weary at times, but I just try to be grateful with whatever life throws my way.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ivory West Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
Ivory West Photography is a freelance company. At the current moment I’m focused on fashion and behind the scenes still shoots. I’m more of a spontaneous photography. I like to catch my talents off guard. Those are the best pictures!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Well, I don’t believe in luck, hard work is everything. You get what you give.
