Today we’d like to introduce you to David De Leon.
Hi David, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always believed creativity is in my bones. Growing up, I was drawn to art in its many forms — painting, sculpture, design — but it wasn’t until I started playing with different media that I realized art could be more than just a hobby; it could be a calling. That’s what led me to found MorArt Creations — a place where my passion for creativity meets a purpose.
I launched MorArt Creations because I saw a gap: many artists create beautiful work, but few have a platform that also gives back. My vision was not just to share my own art, but to build a creative boutique that supports conservation. On my site, I showcase original paintings, sculptures, and themed apparel — all tied to endangered animals and wildlife causes. Every piece is more than a product; it’s a way to raise awareness and contribute to something meaningful.
Getting MorArt Creations off the ground wasn’t easy. There were times when juggling the business side — marketing, production, fundraising — felt overwhelming. But each hurdle taught me something critical: how to be resourceful, how to connect deeply with both art lovers and conservation supporters, and how to scale sustainably. I immersed myself in both the art world and nonprofit circles, learning to speak both “creative language” and “mission-driven business language.”
A few of the moments that feel especially meaningful:
• Launching a line of apparel that features endangered species — seeing people wear art that has a real-world impact feels incredible.
• Collaborating with conservation organizations: partnering with wildlife charities and dedicating part of the proceeds to help their work.
• Building a community: not just selling art, but connecting with people who care deeply about both beauty and wildlife.
Today, MorArt Creations is more than a side project — it’s a growing platform. I continue to create, but I also mentor other artists who want to integrate purpose into their work. My dream is to expand the boutique, scale our conservation partnerships, and maybe even start in-person pop-up exhibits or community events. All of this is grounded in the belief that art can change hearts — and that change can ripple outward to make a real difference.
At the core, I believe that art isn’t just something to look at. It’s something to feel, to act on. Creating is an act of hope. Every brushstroke, every sculpture, every wearable piece is a way to spark meaning, connection, and action. I want people not just to buy — but to care, to learn, and to be inspired to protect what is precious.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some struggles along the way?
Not at all — it’s definitely been a journey with ups and downs. When I started MorArt Creations, the biggest challenge was learning how to balance the creative side with the business side. As an artist, creating comes naturally, but building a brand, managing inventory, setting up an online store, and promoting my work were all new areas I had to learn from scratch.
Another struggle was finding my voice and purpose as an artist. I wanted MorArt Creations to be more than just selling art — I wanted it to support endangered animals and conservation efforts. Figuring out how to combine creativity, mission, and business took time, trial, and a lot of patience.
There were moments of self-doubt, slow sales, and times when it felt like I was putting in all the work without seeing immediate results. But every challenge pushed me to get better — to understand marketing, connect with the right audiences, and stay committed to the mission behind my work. Those struggles shaped the direction of MorArt Creations and made the journey even more meaningful.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At my core, I’m a creator — I work across painting, sculpture, and wearable art. Through MorArt Creations, I specialize in pieces inspired by wildlife, especially endangered animals. My artwork blends bold colors, emotional expression, and a sense of movement that captures the spirit of each animal I feature. I want every piece to feel alive and meaningful — not just something to look at, but something that tells a story.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
