Today we’d like to introduce you to David Espinoza, Robert Cruz, and Garth Rogers.
Born and raised in Dallas- Robert, David, and Garth have been a part of the music scene for many years. Having all played in a variety of local bands of different genres, they have now come together to create an original and authentic sound that people can both enjoy and appreciate. This process started back in October of 2017 and ultimately led to the creation of Paradise Within. Using their own individual experiences and styles, they have created a sound that they can’t quite describe but love to play.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part of this journey has been getting recognized by venues. Several of the local venues in Dallas, not all, advertise that they support/want local music and musicians but don’t necessarily practice what they preach. We’ve had to venture out to other areas in the DFW metroplex to get shows and we’ve been very fortunate to make some very good connections with other bands and venues.
Please tell us about Paradise Within.
We’re very prideful of this band because it’s our baby. We started this band from the ground up and have poured a lot of hours and effort into everything that’s we’ve produced so far. Our main goal as a band is to create music that we enjoy playing. One thing that sets us apart is our live performances. We enjoy playing with a lot of energy and emotion. Everyone may not like our music but we will always leave it all out on the stage every time we perform. Our overall style or genre is a bit hard to define. We play with several influences and try to incorporate our different tastes as band members.
