Today we’d like to introduce you to David and Nikki McBride.
David and Nikki, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Anointed Soundz Custom Home Audio-Video started back in the early 90s from a passion and love for quality sound systems… Growing up I always had an ear to know quality sound and good music. There is nothing like experiencing the sound of a high quality sound system.
That’s exactly what Anointed Soundz provides at an affordable price. It’s simply a blessing to be able to create lasting memories that our awesome clients can reflect and enjoy for years to come. As I got older, my interest and passion grew, so I became the guy everyone would call to install their audio system, wether it was for their car or house, it was the beginning of my future.
In 1997 is when I discovered “it wasn’t just a hobby but this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. That was also the year, I married my beautiful wife Nikki McBride, and we became a team. She’s truly the rib of my life and the company. I remember in our small apartment we purchased our first home theater system, back then people were still using VHS tapes and cassette tapes, not knowing what was to come.
Who would’ve known how electronics would be evolving and changing more faster than ever! I remember when I visited a high-end home theater store on Preston in 1997-1998 in Dallas, TX. I was fascinated and inspired of how the layout was arranged like an actual home it was an experience I never forgot, and I was determined to save up enough money and purchase our first DVD player back then,
DVD players started at $799.00 so I was just fascinated that movies were now on a disc versus VHS tape. Shortly after we purchased not only a new DVD player, but I was blessed with a new job working for the same company! Through that experience, I learned first hand custom installation of high end home audio video. I attended many training classes and researched a lot of products, along with hands on experience, I did new homes commercial building construction.
There I learned pre-wiring, I began to research and test products to gain more knowledge and experience the depths of what gives us the best sound. I work hard and truly take joy in educating myself and serving our clients. We are more than a company that installs systems, we are a company that provides detailed knowledge about your system and make it easy to understand and thoroughly teach you how to operate it.
Quality systems are very important, many people from all walks of life have so much in common, we all love good music and quality sound, so we offer Surround Sound, Home Theater, Whole House Audio, and wiring and installation for any space. Also this year we’re launching interior design with sound! My wife Nikki McBride is an amazing designer! So we’re working together to display how sound and style produces a beautiful work of art in any home.
We are providing luxury living at very affordable prices. This is why I started the business, because I truly love seeing rooms transformed from ordinary to extraordinarily at an affordable price. It’s a blessing for me and my wife to provide something as small as audio/video and design. No matter how much work we have to do. When we see the smiles from the oldest to the youngest of our clients being excited and filled with so much joy because of their new system.
It’s a reminder of how during the difficult times in people’s lives this is what we were created to do. We are so thankful to God for the opportunity and grace. We are launching so many new products, designs, and a workshop called Ask David and Nikki coming soon! We look forward to many, many, more years of growing and making the world better with our purpose of Audio/Video and Design.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Having a business is definitely a faith walk, so it’s like walking in the dark. Every day we awake, we pray and expect to provide our services to our wonderful clients. With your own business, it’s not like a job you where you clock in, and you know you’re gonna get a check at the end of the week where you focus more on the clock and just doing your job duties.
With your own business you have to focus on how to be more creative, innovative, customer service, inventory and more. So it never just feels smooth, but because we know God gave us this passion and skill for audio/video and design, we’re confident though times may be bumpy, with God leading us, things always smooth themselves out!

We are known for Custom Home Theater Systems and Surround Sound and also Home Design.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I’m soooo glad we’re in the DFW metroplex where there is so much opportunity for any entrepreneur! There’s such a diversity of people and cultures that we are so grateful to be able to serve! With music, sound, and design it’s a universal language, also we love the weather!
