So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the telecom industry since 1994 starting off by selling pagers. As in the industry evolved, I moved over to the cellular phone side by working for companies like Southwestern Bell, AT&T, Sprint, and my longest tenure was with Verizon Wireless.
Working for these companies in business sales over 15 years taught me a lot about business, lifecycle management, customer service, financial bottom lines, inventory management, and most importantly…. where I could create my own niche’ to provide solutions that were not being offered. The Mobility Marketplace started in 2009 to become a resource where both business and consumers could purchase reliable used devices at a fraction of the cost of paying full retail from the wireless providers. All of our devices go thru a 33 point inspection check and have a 30-day replacement warranty.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it was the furthest thing from a smooth road. We are no different than many other startups that had an issue with cash flow. We needed a loan to provide the infusion to grow our business and no bank would give us that opportunity so we were forced to grow our business each year gradually until after five years we are now considered a “low risk”.

The Mobility Marketplace is a cell phone device management company. Simply put… we buy and sell cell phones, tablets, and mifi devices.

All of our inventory on this site can be viewed and purchased in real-time and has a 30-day replacement warranty.
All of our inventory comes from our recycling/buyback program. Security is our #1 concern so when devices arrive they are fully data wiped and reset back to the original specs when they were 1st purchased. Most people are not aware that a hard reset does not remove your information fully and thus a customer’s proprietary information is still susceptible to be exposed.
So basically the more devices we buyback…. the more we have for resale. Most people utilize the wireless provider’s buyback program and do not realize there are companies out there, like mine, that offer more money for these devices.
The 15 years of experience, I gained help me create this company to ensure both buyers and sellers get a great value and have a positive customer experience.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely…. the economy has been strong in the Dallas/Ft Worth market for all of the 26 years I have been in the telecom industry. There are so many businesses moving to our area for that reason so its a great place to do business.
