Today we’d like to introduce you to Davion Keys.
Davion, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started getting into music from freestyle all the time when I was younger. In middle school, my friends and I use to make YouTube freestyles, and from there, it sparked my interest. To get where I am today, basically believing in myself, investing in my career, and sticking to my own style.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With any story, especially being a Hip-Hop artist, there are ups and downs. The biggest struggle has been gaining attraction from other states to hear my art. even though all that takes time, so you embrace every milestone from the views on my videos to each stream I get on my music.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
My company is SWML Records. Its a record company I’m building up with my collection of friends. I’m the Recording Artist that we’re focusing on. Outside of being a Recording Artist, I’m working on my clothing line that is dropping soon. The reason for that is I have always been known to be ahead of the curve with my fashion sense. What I’m most proud of as a company is how far I have come with it, and this is only the beginning. What’s sets me apart from others is my mentality you gotta believe you can do anything and I always had that belief.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Gravitating image. Consistency. Belief in oneself. We are having positive energy and being strong minded.
