Meet Daylon and Krystal Davis of Mist Cleaning and Fragrance House in Carrollton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daylon and Krystal Davis.

Mist Cleaning and Fragrance House started in Houston, TX while I was a student at the University of Houston in 2004. Originally it started as a hobby with fragrance oil and later grew into a business in 2014.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a business brings unique challenges with funding for marketing and building space. The biggest challenge was finding ways to generate money for the business to find a location. We started out going to local businesses passing out flyers and attending vendor events around the city. Overtime, our customer base increased, our product lines grew, and we were eventually able to save enough capital to secure a location in Dallas, TX.

Mist is a fragrance and soap company that specializes in manufacturing scented products from raw materials. What we are most proud of as a company and what sets us apart is that we package and label our own products under our own brand name. We are well known in the Dallas area for having strongly scented products for your body, home, office, and automobile. We also carry natural skin and hair products such as black soaps, shea butters, and much more.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas, Texas is an attractive huge city, growing everyday. It is a great big business market with its own set of challenges for small businesses. Depending on the areas within Dallas, it can be a challenge to set your business apart from other competitors with your product lines throughout the city. Our business is unique due to our unique product line and Far North Dallas was the right place to be for a business like ours to grow and expand. Like any location or city, we recommend for a business just starting out, to conduct research on the area and figure out your niche market for your business.
