Hi Deanne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hello! I’m Deanne, better know as Dee from OG Shots Studio.
My passion for photography began when my mother gifted me my first Polaroid camera as a child. I would take pictures at my grandmother’s house and neighborhood in OakCliff or around my East Dallas neighborhood. Photography has consistently provided me with an escape and a sense of happiness through capturing the world and people around me. In 2022, I decided to pursue photography as a career, establishing Shot with Love Photography. A conversation with friends about the past sparked the realization that the inexpensive photos we took back then hold so many cherished memories. This conversation inspired me to revive the nostalgia of 90’s-2000’s photography. Seeing the younger generation’s appreciation for the music and aesthetic of my youth motivated me to create OG Shots Studio for them and us millennials as well. As a teenager, Zoom in Zoom out enabled us to capture memories with friends and loved ones at the mall, which remain some of my best memories. At OG Shots Studio, I have worked with couples and families, including teenagers, young couples, and millennials seeking to create & recreate memories.
Providing them with these moments and memories, reminiscent of our childhood experiences, is truly rewarding. Seeing the joy it brings others with the total experience, from the music I play in the studio to the aesthetic. It’s not just the photos it’s the experience that keeps people coming back to OG Shots Studio.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been far from easy. As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur with two photography businesses, I have had challenges in managing my various roles while working and continuing to develop as a small business owner. Regardless, the struggles and stress have been outweighed by the joy people experience with their photos and the positive reviews I receive from my work.

I’m a lifestyle & old school photographer
I’m best recognized for my old school glamour shots editing style…. At least that’s what I receive my most significant compliments on.
What I am most proud of is showing my children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. If you want to do it. DO IT.
I believe my work is authentic and the energy I bring to photo shoots is genuine. My personal experience with the original 90’s & 2000’s photographs, This is what sets me apart. I’m drawing from my own experiences to deliver unique and enjoyable experiences.
What matters most to you?
I strive to bring others moments of happiness and laughter, especially during challenging times. OG Shots Studio was created to capture the lighthearted essence of the 90’s-00’s, and that’s what matters most to me. My goal is to remind people not to take life too seriously. Instead, I encourage them to have fun, take photos, create memories, and laugh!
