Deborah is a lifetime entrepreneur. Private investigations has been the cornerstone of her career for over 30 years. The experiences she has acquired from it has allowed Deborah to expand her expertise into other areas, such as a paralegal, mediator, life coach, handwriting therapist and a certified hypnosis practitioner. Being spiritually gifted and a natural intuitive gives her the ability to connect with people quickly.
Since 2014, Deborah has been the acting Executive Director for the Council of Families for Children, a 501C three devoted to families who have children dealing with mental health issues. Using a lifetime of experience and her incredible abilities as a public speaker and teacher, Deborah has had the opportunity to speak and teach to thousands of family members and professionals. By doing so, Deborah is also sharing with them the needs of children and their caregivers when dealing with a mental illness and the concept of whole health – mind, body and soul.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, I started a business as a marketing rep when I was 21 that then progressed into communication sales. I was in a think tank in regards to voice mail and then started two bail bond companies with my new husband. I was 25 when he died and had to learn a business I had no idea about. After four years of running these companies, I then morphed into private investigations. Having two children later on with mental health issues took me into mental health advocacy and also into running a small non-profit. We have multiple curriculums for families and professionals about communications, empathy and coping skills and how to be an advocate. My non-profit also certifies life coaches and handwriting formation therapists as well. I was featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul – Children with Special Needs and have over 20 books of my own on Amazon and also have edited and published books for others.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
All of my companies are about providing information to people so they can make better decisions, except for my entertainment company. That is something I do for my own pleasure that allows me to use my spiritual and people gifts and make people happy.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t. I have had some horrible tragedies in my life on all levels and some wonderful successes and I am never bored. I love learning and doing different things and not being boxed in.
