Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Hall.
Hi Denise, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began painting in 2005, but my love for creating art goes all the way back to my earliest memories—I can even remember sketching pictures from my family Bible when I was five. My true passion for art ignited in December 2001 while I was pregnant with my first child and placed on bed rest for two weeks. During that quiet time, I was encouraged to draw, and for the first time I began doing it consistently. As the years went on, I started exploring colored pencils and pastels, creating mostly floral and landscape pieces.
Three years later, I became interested in oil painting and started taking weekly classes for about a year—all while working full-time nights as a Respiratory Therapist. When life became too busy to continue classes, I took everything I had learned and kept practicing at home. My husband and family continued to encourage me to make time for painting, even if it was just 30 minutes every other night.
Since then, I’ve been blessed with many opportunities to participate in local art shows throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In 2018, I began teaching painting classes and hosting paint parties, which has been an amazing experience! I’m inspired by beauty, nature, and anything filled with vivid, lively color. There’s something magical about bringing creativity to life through any medium.
I want to thank my husband and family for always supporting and encouraging me to pursue my artistic goals, and I truly appreciate the support of my fans as well!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’d say it’s been a bit challenging to intentionally carve out time to paint because there’s always something that needs to be done. It’s also been tough to consistently teach paint parties while working at a local hospital. There will always be reasons why something can’t be done—you just have to make the choice to do it anyway.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create artwork using both acrylics and oils, specializing in florals, landscapes, seascapes, and abstract pieces. I also offer custom paintings.
What I’m most proud of is my expertise in teaching paint parties. One thing I truly love about my business is the flexibility to travel locally to homes or restaurants for private events—whether it’s a birthday celebration, bridal shower, girls’ night out, or any special occasion. I provide all the supplies, and my team handles the setup and cleanup, making the experience easy and enjoyable for everyone.
