Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Parker DC.
Hi Denise, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t really arrive at this work in a straight line, but in many ways, I was always headed here—toward a practice that values not just physical health, but wholeness in every sense of the word.
Before I became a chiropractor, I spent 8 years in the world of massage therapy and bodywork. That time gave me a deep respect for how the body stores experience—how stress, emotion, injury, and environment can all leave a mark. But I also saw the limitations of symptom-focused care. I knew there had to be more. That curiosity, and a strong sense of calling, led me back to school in my 30s to pursue chiropractic care with a deeper lens.
I graduated from Parker University and eventually opened Resonate Wellness Chiropractic, a space where structural alignment meets emotional intelligence, and where healing is about more than just “fixing” what hurts. My training now includes a wide range of integrative tools, including Neuro Emotional Technique, Quantum Neurology, the Lebowitz Protocol, and more.
What drives my work is the belief that when we listen carefully—to the body, to the story, to the patterns—we find answers that go deeper than the surface. I care deeply about creating a space where people feel safe, heard, and supported in a way that allows their body to finally exhale. Whether someone is dealing with chronic pain, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, or simply feels “off,” my job is to help them reconnect the dots between systems, symptoms, and their own internal wisdom.
I didn’t start here by accident. My own journey, both personally and professionally, has shown me what it means to walk through hard things and come out with something to offer. I believe healing is a process, not a prescription—and my greatest honor is walking alongside others as they find their way back to wholeness.
Outside of practice, I’m a wife and mother of two, and those roles have shaped how I show up in every other area of life. Motherhood, in particular, has taught me more about presence, resilience, and humility than any textbook ever could. It’s where I learned how healing can’t be rushed—and how love often looks like holding space, not fixing.
My faith is the foundation beneath it all. It’s not something I wear on my sleeve, but it quietly informs everything—from how I see the people I serve to how I trust the body’s design. I believe deeply that God created us with the capacity to heal, and that grace shows up in the most unexpected places. My work is often clinical, yes—but it’s also deeply relational. It’s where science meets Spirit, and I get to witness what happens when people begin to heal from the inside out.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to where I am now was full of challenges I didn’t see coming. I returned to school to become a chiropractor as a working adult, wife, and mother of two young children. Balancing family life with late-night studying and early-morning classes wasn’t just hard—it was refining. Along the way, I also navigated personal grief, identity shifts, and seasons where the weight of responsibility felt heavier than possibility to continue. There were times I questioned everything: my timing, my strength, even my calling. But those moments shaped my approach to care. They taught me to meet people where they are because I know what it’s like to be in survival mode, to feel like you’re pushing uphill, and still believe healing is possible. I carry that awareness into every session. It’s not just what qualifies me—it’s what keeps me compassionate, present, and committed to the work.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Resonate Wellness Chiropractic ?
My practice is a place where people come when they’re tired of surface-level answers. We work with the nervous system, the structure of the body, and the emotional patterns that often get overlooked—but play a huge role in how people feel. I use a blend of chiropractic care, muscle testing, energy work, detox and nutrition support, and other tools to help the body get out of survival mode and back into balance.
A lot of my patients come in saying, “I’ve tried everything, and nothing has helped.” What sets us apart is that we take time to really listen—not just to what’s going on physically, but what’s been building underneath. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and my work reflects that.
What I’m most proud of is the environment we’ve created—safe, calm, and real. People leave here not just feeling better, but understanding themselves a little more. My goal isn’t just to fix something—it’s to help you reconnect with the part of you that knows how to heal.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t think of myself as a natural risk-taker—at least not in the traditional sense. I’m not reckless or impulsive. But I’ve taken some big leaps that required deep faith and a willingness to move without a clear map. Going back to school to become a chiropractor as a wife while raising two kids was a huge one. Starting a practice from scratch, doing things differently than the mainstream, blending emotional and energetic work into clinical care—all of that came with risk. I could’ve played it safer, followed a more conventional path. But something in me knew the cost of not listening to that inner nudge would be bigger.
For me, risk isn’t about thrill—it’s about trust. Trusting what I feel called to do. Trusting that the work will meet me as I step into it. Risk doesn’t always feel brave in the moment—it often feels messy and uncertain. But that’s where the growth happens.
