Meet Derek and Teea Nelson of CrossFit Watauga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Derek and Teea Nelson.

Derek and Teea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As healthcare providers we both see people daily who are unhealthy from lifestyle habits. These disease or conditions that they have can be avoided by diet and exercise. We wanted an avenue where we could affect their health positively before they had to see us a patient and already affected by poor lifestyle habits.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We are both very dedicated individuals and when we decide what we want we do all we can to achieve it. First with education and then with the opening of this business. It has not been easy, but it has been worth it.

Please tell us about CrossFit Watauga.
We are a CrossFit Affiliate. We offer high intensity group fitness classes. We are proud to offer smaller classes that are more personalized and dedicated to each member. We stand out because our coaches are truly passionate about fitness, we continue to educate ourselves and be the best we can be so we can offer the best service to our clients.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We would have started this business sooner! Our passion for what we are doing is only being ignited daily by the improvement our members are making and the community that is emerging.

Pricing:

• Unlimited classes= $129 a month
• 3x a week= $79 a month/2x a week= $59 a month
• Student/Fire/Police/Military Discount is $99 a month for unlimited classes.
