This business was born out of a deep desire to instill self-worth in every person who has been bullied, rejected, shamed and abused. When I was a little kid, I was sexually abused and my identity took a hit and with that hit so did my self-worth, self-love, what I thought and believed about myself. Although everything seemed okay on the outside, I was not doing well. As I was growing up, I was constantly bullied from the time I was 8 years old all the way to 14 years old. I was called all sorts of names that chipped away at my identity. For years and years, I believed the lies that they spoke over me, and in 2016, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. I was lost and in a very dark place. After making bad decisions, I decided to get help. It was after that help that I was able to see past the lies that I had believed and just a few months later, in 2017 I launched my business everyname.co
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! So many doubts came into my mind, when thinking of launching this business like the fact I was putting my life out there and bringing to light all that I had been through. My greatest hope was that it would help instill identity in others. I had never launched an online business, so I learned how to put together my website, took my own photo’s and worked on content. It has been a fun learning process.
