Meet Destiny Adams of InCast Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Adams.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out in the customer service and hospitality industry. From there, I stumbled upon a niche universe called field and promotional marketing where I became a brand ambassador. Throughout my experience, I joined several different agencies and learned how to move myself up the ladder pretty quickly. I knew that some day I wanted to hire people for fun events and maybe start my own company! It was not until the encouragement of my fiancé that I turned what only seemed like a dream and a hobby into a thriving business that ended up replacing more than my income and my fiancés 6 figure income combined! We did it in such a short amount of time and are driven to exceed our goals of continued personal and professional growth! I know now that the brand I started as a hobby is going to last for years. InCast will continue to make impressions amongst our clients and referrals while allowing us to the opportunity to turn our profits into other business ventures.

I continue to make strides to improve business practices such as doing research, listening to podcast, learning about taxes and investments, seeking out mentorships and involving myself in my son’s school and community.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a business is never easy but if you fail in the beginning, middle or end that is okay and all part of growth as you never truly fail unless you give up. You take risks, make mistakes and sometimes question your sanity. However, I’ve learned that I can only control so much in my business practices and as long as I am doing everything with faith, that means I am doing the best I can and will turn my missteps into opportunities to grow. Of course, it has not been a smooth road but I have not even made it to my destination yet. As we continue to grow, we keep on learning and perfecting new aspects of this business and industry.

Some of the biggest struggles we have faced is understanding business tax codes, such as quarterly taxes and write off’s. We grew so fast that all of that got lost in translation and now we are having to go back 12 months and do what we have done along the way. It is extremely time consuming and stressful but I recommend having a great CPA that understands your industry so that they can be a helping hand! Do not be afraid to pay for and hire experts to learn from.

We are an experiential staffing agency for events and promotions. We are in the service business of providing brand ambassadors for temporary events with different agencies and brands. We are known for our vibrant branding, professional staff and flexibility to get things done in a timely manner.

I am most proud of the foundation and reputation we are building which clients seek-out and utilize our services of reliable brand ambassadors to work their events.

We are different because we founded our agency from the perspective of a hard working and reliable brand ambassador which gives us some leverage when staffing specific events. Our clients are able to lean on us for suggestions and even on-site management!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like Dallas, Texas because it contains a large hub of resources, networking and like-minded entrepreneurs that want to help you succeed and bounce ideas off of you.

The least favorite part of Dallas, Texas would be traffic! It is imperative to be on time and the traffic can always throw a wrench into your plans.
