Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Miss Haze.
Hi DJ Miss, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Inspired by my brother, my DJ journey began 16 years in Germany, where I was born and raised. My first 5 years were focused on being a Club DJ with some work at concerts, festivals and artist tours. My first corporate event and wedding gig were both in 2015, which introduced me to different event types. I since deeply integrated myself into the private event and corporate event industry where I found a sweet spot of curating timeless and elegant events that lead into a packed, high-energy dance party.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship was not a smooth road, but an exciting road loaded with learnings and growth. I embraced every bit of it, and honestly have to say that the bumps led to the biggest lessons.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a DJ and MC who also offers exciting entertainment add-ons such as a mobile photo booth trailer, different photo booth options, yard games, lighting and audio effects and product customization. I am known for bringing high-energy dance parties to elegant, timeless events. Today, I operate in 3 markets: Chicago, Dallas and Denver where I offer Brand Activation DJ Services, Corporate Event DJ Services, Private Event DJ Services and Wedding DJ Services. I am one of the most skilled DJs in those industries due to my 16-year experience and Club DJ background, and along with my ability to deeply connect with the crowd and my clients, this is an achievement I am proud of. At the same time, those specific industries need more highly skilled DJs and everyone will benefit from DJs who raise the bar.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The DJ experience across genres and generations that I have paired with my ability to deeply connect with and read a room full of strangers makes me one of the most sought out DJs. I deeply care about the client and guest experience, and bring in event management oversight into all of my gigs as well. That shows in my planning and preparation work, and the day of execution. I am excited for the journey ahead of me and I am having fun bringing so many dance floor to life!
