Meet DJ Mobounce

Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Mobounce.

So, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My junior year of college I started learning how to DJ. I was taught by DJ West Crackin and DJ TeeBee. These two guys showed me the ropes of djing and took time to show me small things that would set me apart from other DJs. I also have to pay homage to another DJ by the name of DJ Samp, who showed how to talk to the crowd and gain control over them while I’m djing. Musically I always knew I would be fine because I have a deep love for music and I was also a music major in college. I started doing house parties with a few of my fraternity brothers and I began to make a name for myself. Doing these times, I had a lot of support coming up but still had my humps to get over. A semester after that, it was on to doing clubs, concerts and big college parties in the area and I never looked backed.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not always been smooth, seeing how I started djing in Tyler, TX. It was easy in Tyler due to being surrounded by four college/universities in the area. I was able to build a relationship with the top promoters and event planners in the city. So my official goal was to become the hottest DJ in the college area and eventually, that buzz would bring me to a bigger city, but that was not the case. It was much and still is a very political game and most people (DJs) are already established in certain clubs or with various promoters in a city which makes it hard to gain acknowledgement in the city of Dallas. Luckily I’ve been put in certain situations to show my talent and skills so more people can start to gain a huge fan base in the city of Dallas.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I provide DJ services for all types of events such as Clubs, Concerts, Private Events, & Weddings.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to meeting new people and having the chance to put myself in bigger venues and clubs around the city and other states as well. My plans for the future is to eventually be apart of a radio station in Dallas, Texas mixing and doing promotional work for the station as well.
