Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiffany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always had a love for makeup as a young teenager. I did a photoshoot years ago and the photographer asked who did my makeup? After finding out I did my own he asked if I would like to work with him on photoshoots, I agreed to and things took off really fast, my clientele grew fast and mostly word of mouth. After doing makeup for so long and hearing my client’s plea about their skin, I decided to enroll into school and educate myself on skincare so that I am not only making people look gorgeous with makeup but I can educate them on how to make their skin gorgeous too without makeup. So, after many years of traveling around doing makeup, I decided to open a spa/makeup studio so that I am able to provide my clients with exceptional services. I now not only do makeup but I offer Microblading, lash extensions, lash lifting, facials, skincare services etc. My clients are my drive to continue to educate myself and become better.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been easy. I left corporate America to enroll into school. I dealt with the fact that I would not have the type of income I’m use to making so it was a sacrifice, a huge faith jump. I dealt with fear of being judged because I knew that I would probably be older than the majority of people there, it was time away from my children. So the entire process was sacrifice for myself along with my family because my decision to go to school affected everyone. We all had to step up.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Be A Doll story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a licensed Esthetician, certified in Microblading and eyelash extensions. I offer skincare and facial services, lash lifting, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, makeup and waxing. I’m known for my “Natural Doll Makeover” because it gives women a natural flawless makeup application. I’m most proud of the relationships I have with my clients and that I’m pretty much a one stop shop for your face. I think what sets me apart is that I go above and beyond for my clients. Most people come to me as an escape so I make sure that I give them what they are needing in that moment, whether that be a listening ear, a shoulder, peace and quiet and a laughing fun good time. My clients are not just clients, they are friends!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the next 5 years I plan to expand! Bigger location and offer more services. My 10 year goal is to own my own salon property where I can help others branching into this field build themselves up.
