Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominic Bass.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dominic. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Starting my own clothing line or working with fashion has always been something I thought about doing as a kid but growing up playing football caused it to come second. I remember in class drawing different clothing items or taking Nike shoes from a magazine and customizing them into my own shoe.
Dominique, my wife, is a fashion designer, consultant, and event planner. Seeing her design customers and events brought back the passion I once had. After sharing a few of my goals with her, she soon bought all the equipment needed for me to bring it to reality. I shared my long lost passion with her not knowing that soon she would buy all the equipment needed to actually get the show on the road.
Few years later, and with the addition of three new kids who all happened to model. Having my own line with my own kids modeling them became a dream come true.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Picture traveling for a family trip and getting everything packed for the road and taking off.
For the first 30 minutes driving the roads are always smooth until you get on the highways/country roads (depending on where you’re traveling from), but once you get through that, you’re coasting. That’s I feel my business started off. We started off blooming then hit a bumpy road.
Being in the fashion industry, sales are going to fluctuate depending on the season or what’s trending. One thing I’ve taught myself is to stay ahead of the game, game plan for all my marketing and don’t forget why I started my business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ink Fame Clothing Club story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m the Founder if Ink Fame Clothing Club. I specialize in marketing, networking and designing all my items. I’m known for making my customers feel like a family and making them look classy when wearing my clothing. I’m most proud of my company growth. I always go back and look at the first items I designed, so I’ll never forget where I started.
What sets me apart from others is we’re not only a Clothing Line, we’re a Dynasty. We’re always going to be around, and when you wear Ink Fame Clothing Club, I tell my customers to Express your Fashion using Ink and become Famous doing it.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Good Luck- I’ve been able to work with multiple artists designing apparels for them.
Bad Luck- I wouldn’t say bad luck but it has kept me very busy. Being a family of four and a baby on the way you have to learn to manage your time accordingly. I love to include them in everything.
