Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I, Dominique Herndon, is the founder and owner of SELF Reflect Transportation LLC, which was created in 2019. Becoming an entrepreneur was the culmination of a lifelong dream for independence that enabled me to create a legacy for my family. Determination, perseverance, motivation, and countless hours of hard work dedicated to increasing my knowledge about the industry resulted in me being able to accomplish one of my dream of owning a transportation/logistics company. Additionally, I credits ambition, integrity, and sacrifice as traits that enabled me to reach my dream of entrepreneurship. I believes it is crucial to share my expertise with others who have the same desire to become future entrepreneurs. I stated that my greatest joy is to help others achieve their goals and assist them with their business endeavors. I added that it is paramount for me to pay it forward to the next generation of business owners and I hopes that my assistance will make the process easier for them to accomplish their dreams of entrepreneurship.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey with the transportation/logistics industry began when I was hired for an entry-level position in a warehouse and I also was a driver assistant, which required me to work grueling 16-hour shifts. I eventually was rewarded for my hard work by being promoted to a lead driver after earning my CDL license, increasing my responsibilities within the transportation/logistics industry. Despite my arduous schedule, my aspirations went beyond simply being employed as a driver or working in a warehouse. I had dreams of founding my own transportation/logistics company and I worked tirelessly until I ultimately achieved that goal.

The work that’s put in day in and out behind the scenes for S.R.T. Is unbelievable. Where actually in the city changing family and friends’ lives. From hiring for employment to meeting and shaking the right hands within the city, there’s still more to get around to but we will get there.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is something very simple to say you want or rather you can define it. What I’ve learned about SUCCESS is that you determine your own, what others may value or define to be successful doesn’t have to be yours. Success is credibility of leaders that always lead. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. As individuals, you have to strive to reach an attainable goal set for you being overly ambitious.
