Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Williams.
Dominique, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My husband Justin and I got married in June 2015 and knew that we wanted to one day start a family. One year after marriage we gave birth to our first daughter in June 2016. Our second daughter followed in February 2019. Along with starting our family we both had a desire to create generational wealth for our girls by becoming entrepreneurs.
It was important to me that whatever business venture we explored, it was something that either Justin and I were passionate about. Our company Mom2B was derived from my love of being a mother and the desire to support other women who were becoming mothers by providing a service that made them feel confident and radiant. With my husbands full support we gave birth to our third child, Mom2B as we like to say and embarked on our journey as business partners and entrepreneurs.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a business definitely comes with its far share of challenges. When Mom2B first launched it was important for us to have visability and begin marketing ourselves. We had become sponsors for many of the traveling trade shows and expos for exposure to a wide audience of women. With the unfortunate circumstances of COVID-19 a lot of our face to face marketing campaigns have been postponed or cancelled. However, we have not allowed the circumstances to defeat us as we have found alternate methods of marketing Mom2B.

Mom2B is a maternity rental boutique that specializes in maternity gowns for expecting mothers. Although our main audience is pregnant women our gowns range in size and can even be used for non-maternity events as well. We offer a variety of trendy gowns that can be worn at photoshoots, baby showers, gender revel parties, date nights, etc. At Mom2B we know first hand how difficult it is to find clothing that fits when your body is changing by the day. Maternity clothing in general can be expensive and maternity gowns in particular come with a hefty price tag when looking to purchase. Most women much like a wedding dress will only where the gown once and then it will be placed deep in their closet never to be worn again. To aid expecting mothers with their search for the perfect gown we established Mom2B. We exist to give women the confidence to feel beautiful.
Our gowns can be rented for either 5 or 10 day periods. Our customer simply visit our website, select the gown of their choice and RENT IT. After renting the gown our customers only job is to ROCK IT! After the gown has been worn simply RETURN IT. We take care of the rest. Mom2B will clean and sanitize the gown making it ready for the next renter.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was ambitious, artistic and adventurous. I never let anything stand in my way of achieving whatever I set out to do. I also strived to be a good role model for my younger siblings. It was also important that I didn’t disappoint my biggest supports.
