I begun Kentex Homes is 2014. I had got out of the health industry and sold my healthcare company in 2012. At the time, I sold the healthcare company, I had not decided exactly what I wanted to do next, but I had the resources, so I decided to invest in land. I bought land in a few places and just held on to them. Then, in 2014, I decided to start to venture into the construction business and that is how Kentex Homes came to be. We have begun by building entry-level homes and kept moving up and today we also build million dollar homes. We want to cater to all market levels.
Has it been a smooth road?
Just like everything else, construction can be quite challenging when it comes to getting permit approvals and going through all the different building requirements in different areas. Different cities have different requirements. All in all, it has been a very important and good learning experience.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kentex Homes story. Tell us more about the business.
Kentex Homes specializes in land development, new constructions, renovations, and flipping homes.
We are very proud of the growth we have made up to this point. We begin with a few entry-level homes and now we are about to begin a big project which will consist of a whole development.
While I realize that there are many other construction companies with similar products on the market, the one thing that uniquely sets us apart from other companies is our timely building schedules while staying within budget.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
This industry should show consistent growth for the next 5-10 years. Many companies are moving to Texas e.g. Toyota, Amazon, etc., and with these moves, there is bound to be many people moving to the metroplex who will need homes.
Pricing:
- Entry level home prices between $140,000 – $200,000
- Mid-level home prices between $280,000 – $380,000
- High-end homes prices from $1,000,000 and up
