Belleza Colombiana Spa was born from my personal journey and a genuine desire to help people look and feel better — efficiently, safely, and with lasting results. To deepen my knowledge and perfect my craft, I spent much of my life studying and working closely with plastic surgeons, gaining a strong understanding of the body, skin, and advanced techniques.
That experience shaped my approach to beauty and wellness and inspired me to create more than a traditional spa. Belleza Colombiana Spa is a space where expertise meets care, and where clients feel seen, supported, and confident. Today, the spa reflects my passion, my Colombian roots, and my belief that true beauty comes from feeling your best inside and out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road. The beginning was very complicated. I came to this country with my two sons — they were just 6 and 9 years old at the time — and only $400. I didn’t speak English, I didn’t understand the culture or the regulations, and I had no professional connections. While I had the education and experience, starting over in a new country came with many unknowns.
The first and biggest challenge was learning the language. Once I focused on that, everything slowly began to fall into place. Step by step, I learned how the system worked, built relationships, and found my footing. It wasn’t easy, but perseverance, education, and believing in myself helped me turn obstacles into opportunities.

We specialize in non-surgical body contouring and post-operative care for plastic surgery patients. At Belleza Colombiana Spa, our focus is on helping the body heal properly, efficiently, and safely while enhancing overall results.

With extensive experience working alongside plastic surgeons, we understand the body, the recovery process, and the importance of proper aftercare. Every service we offer is completely customized — no two patients are treated the same. Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up in Medellín, Colombia, during the 1980s — a very challenging and violent time. That environment shaped me early and taught me resilience, awareness, and strength. I have two brothers who played a big role in my upbringing; they pushed me to be strong, independent, and confident from a young age.
Creatively, I was always surrounded by art and expression. My father was a musician and a photographer, so music and creativity were constant influences in my life. They taught me how powerful art can be as a form of healing and connection.
I was also very active. I was a professional speed skater until the age of 14, which instilled discipline, focus, and perseverance — qualities that have stayed with me throughout my life and career. At the same time, my parents taught me to appreciate nature, grounding me in balance and respect for the world around me.
Personality-wise, I grew up strong but sensitive, disciplined yet creative. Those early experiences shaped the woman and business owner I am today — resilient, passionate, and deeply connected to both people and purpose.
