Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Catrina Pullum.
Our first memories of our childhood are often innocent – playing hopscotch with neighborhood kids, making mud pies, or even having tea parties with our friends. We don’t really think about our future or the legacy that we will leave for our children. But there is one little girl, who made her childhood dreams come true! Her life wasn’t easy, she had some trials and she had to break a few chains throughout her life, and that’s why Dr. Pullum is affectionately called “The Chain Breaker”. She is an extraordinary woman leading a life of purpose.
Dr. Pullum has also been called a Trailblazer, a Transformer, & a Visionary. Her life’s mission is to help individuals walk into their purpose! Dr. Pullum has an enlivening presence that compels people to stop allowing limits placed on them to hinder their growth toward becoming all that they have been destined to be.
As a producer, Dr. Pullum creates a platform for women to share their stories of Triumph through the Arts. She is an extraordinary woman leading a life of purpose. Dr. Pullum has been featured in Essence, Oprah & Black Enterprise Magazines to name a few. She has been an Empowerment speaker for Bishop TD Jakes’ Megafest.
Dr. Pullum serves as an Executive Advisor of PullCorp Media and Business Consulting Group.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
One of our biggest adversaries has been restructuring the company due to my health challenges. I went from leading the company to advising. Self-care is a powerful choice to engage in the activities that are required to gain or maintain the best level of health. As an Executive in the height of my career, I have had to learn the importance of self-care the tough way. I had to learn to delegate, which was hard for me to do.
During this transition, we assessed the company from staff to clients. We changed our target audience from startups who would need a lot of attention to focus on more established clients who need direction and that push to reach their next level. This way allows us to still provide the high level of service we want for our clients to expect, but maximize the return on the investment of our time.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the PullCorp Media & Business Consulting Group story. Tell us more about the business.
Some are born to business, some learn the business, and some have business thrust upon them. PullCorp Media formed because of all three of these. Both founders are born leaders. They have both studied business, management, and leadership formally and currently in corporate America. PullCorp Media and Business Consulting Group is a boutique PR, Media, and Business Consulting Firm. Our elite clientele are individuals in the entertainment industry, small business, nonprofit, and corporations.
PullCorp formed because an independent music artist saw the way we handled business and asked us to manage their career. We provide services that to our clientele that extend their reach in their industry with branding, networking and extending their customer base and following to create a presence nationally and in other countries.
We are most proud of the collaborative partnerships & relationship that has been built throughout the years. To watch the vision grow from just someone asking us to manage them to where we are now.
