Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Seth and Lara Austin.
Austin Chiropractic has been a pediatric and family practice here in McKinney for almost three years. Dr. Austin opened his practice because he, his wife Lara and their children have seen the many benefits of chiropractic care in their lives and they have a passion for helping others. Dr. Austin was inspired to become a chiropractor in his early 20’s after learning he suffered from a degenerative joint disease that especially affected his lower back.
He found that chiropractic care greatly reduced his pain and improved his quality of life. Dr. Austin’s wife, Lara, also benefited from chiropractic in her teenage years when she discovered she had scoliosis. Thru chiropractic care, Lara was able to feel better and improve without the use of medication or surgery in addition to correcting the curvature in her spine.
Why McKinney? Not only do the Austin’s have family in and near McKinney, but McKinney possesses a small-town vibe, coupled with big city life with unmistakable family-friendly feeling and pride in supporting small businesses. Since opening the doors in McKinney, Dr. Austin has cared for and successfully treated a number of patients from newborns to great grandparents, yielding positive results with a variety of health issues and concerns.
Has it been a smooth road?
The practice has come a long way in the past three years but it hasn’t always been easy. One of the biggest struggles facing Dr. Austin early on was the long hours away from home and his children that first year. Building and growing any business takes a toll on one’s energy and life but thankfully balance is achievable and sustainable.

Austin Chiropractic is a family wellness practice that treats infants, children, and adults. At our office, we focus on the spine, whole body systems and overall health and wellness. While we are fantastic at treating back and neck pain, many patients come to Dr. Austin with so much more. Did you know adjustments and treatments from Dr. Austin have helped treat ear infections, headaches, insomnia, prevent surgeries and even successfully turned breach babies?!? Chiropractic truly is amazing!
Dr. Austin specializes in a gentle and effective technique that allows for faster healing time and greater results. Austin Chiropractic utilizes a patient-centered, results-driven approach to remove interference so the nervous system can function properly, allowing the body to heal itself so optimum health can be achieved. State of the art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment along with Dr. Austin’s specialized technique ensure the highest quality of care possible for people who are truly looking to get better and address the underlying cause and not just cover up the symptoms.
