Today we’d like to introduce you to Duane Tyree.
Duane, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was introduced to music at age 11, I began playing guitar. At age 14 I began playing in an orchestra, I played the violin and upright bass. I have always been inspired by music. In the 80’s my rock bands that I started were rehearsing in storage units.. haha. We would have to travel all over the metroplex to have things done like, record the c.d., then travel somewhere else for photography, videos, and so on. I started getting the vision to have everything a band needs in one facility at an early age. Now with my vision for the Platinum Music Complex has been to add amenities for convenience. We offer a Music Store, Recording Studio, Photography Studio, Rehearsal Rooms, Live Video Room, Live Venue, Café, Tattoo Shop, Graphic Designers, In-House Printing for t-shirts, Flyers, and Banners. Engineering School, and Music Business classes.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was finding just the right location and the size of the building I was needing. I had been looking at the building I am in now for over 4 years. the main thing I had going for me was persistence. Backing out was not an option. The dream and vision was something on my mind 24 hours a day. Its all I could think about. God opened this door for me, and here we are today.
Platinum Music Complex – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Platinum Music Complex has taken a direction never done before. As of now, we are the largest music facility that I am aware of in Texas.
We have over 125 monthly rehearsal rooms. We have a Platinum, and Grammy-winning producer running our recording studio. We have one of the best graphic designers around. Our facility is very clean, and very secure
I think what really sets us apart from everything else in the music business in Dallas is everything we offer under one roof. Bands and solo artist do not have to go anywhere else for anything they need. We have the right staff to assist in anything you can think of to help you succeed. And to top it off, we work with every genre.
My proudest moments are when I see satisfied clients that know I am doing everything I can to help them have the best experience they can at a facility of this nature. I have been very fortunate to have some of the best in the business join me to offer the bands and artist we work with to take their music to a new level.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
My proudest moment thus far has been having Platinum Producer Leroy Williams join the family here at Platinum Music Complex. I know with his drive and expertise, our clients will walk away from their sessions knowing their music is in good hands.
