Today we’d like to introduce you to Duchess Elizabeth Lindsey.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The Duchess of bath, Lady Elizabeth Lindsey, that’s me!! I am CEO and creator of Mafia Antoinette… Throughout the years, I’ve always been an entrepreneur, since my teenage years actually. I’ve owned an Interior Decorating and Event Planning company right out of college, I’ve designed floral installations for weddings and events as well as the planning aspects of each.
I fell in love with the soap making industry for the first time in 2000. Reading every book I could find that showed me how to make soap, and what each ingredient did. I learned what will benefit the skin and or the senses, etc. But with working a full-time job, school, and owning other businesses, I only used what I was learning as a unique and personal way to give gifts to friends and family for special events. After a while planning weddings, I began to get disenchanted with the industry because of the stress it caused, and I decided to walk away from that field.
A little over five years ago, I made the best decision I could have, and that was to get back into the soap and beauty industry because making products for me, was therapeutic and I had a real passion for making quality bath and body items. I remembered hearing one of my favorite business women Oprah Winfrey say, learn what your passion is first then learn how to get paid for it. And so it began.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think a smooth road is beneficial to aid a person in this course of life, and definitely not in business. It’s the bumpy roads that teach you the best lessons and keeps you on the path to success. And learn from those lessons on that bumpy road. Having a good support system is the most helpful because you will always have someone there to keep your best interests in mind especially as an individual, and they help left you up when you’re down.
As an entrepreneur, I have had to learn the true meaning of balance, and boy that’s a real challenge. Balancing a full-time managerial position at an upscale boutique, a social calendar, life in general, and most importantly my brand. Its something I have had to learn over the years to make time for daily, regardless of what else I have going on in life.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Mafia Antoinette – what should we know?
Mafia Antoinette… The Bath and Body Bakery. We specialize in making Desserts for the Body that not only have benefits for the mind, body, and spirit, but we teach all of our customers that pampering yourself is a lifestyle. Not something one should do every once in a while. Mafia Antoinette is a play on Marie Antoinette the infamous Queen of France of course, a stylish Queen if ever there was one, but we add our own unique and avant-garde style to the name. She was known for loving the finer things in life, we are here to give your body that experience. A Parisian and royal style full of luxurious options, thats Mafia Antoinette.
With some of our products actually looking like real desserts you could eat (but don’t of course lol), or items you would find in a spa. Our products are artisans soaps, bath bombs, whipped sugar scrubs, shea soufflé’s, lotion and massage bars, salt scrubs, bath soaks, bath in a box package, and so much more. We specialize in the experience you get using one of our bath and body products. We use only the best ingredients, and in its natural state, no preservatives or parabens like the larger, more mass-produced body product lines do. I’m mostly proud that everyone who uses our products always come back to us with some sort of praise as to how it helped them in their daily life. And that means a lot to us.

Credit first and foremost goes to my Mum. She is the best mother anyone could have. I’m lucky to be able to call her mine. She’s been a huge support system for me throughout my entire life, supporting and loving me for who I am and being there for literally EVERYTHING I do. She is my cheerleader. I have a few mentors who have given me wonderful insight into the business mind, and a financial investment in the past to get me started, but the work is up to me. I hope to repay that gesture to an aspiring entrepreneur one day.
And lastly but not least, is The Lady Of Bath… Lady BBella also known as Brandy Byrd. She’s another support system for me as my best friend and business partner. No one becomes successful alone, you must have a great team with you. And I have the best.
