Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Green.
Hi Dylan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m a multi-hyphenate creative/entrepreneur who has an insatiable curiosity. Moving to Dallas from Portland, OR in 2021 was particularly exciting: I bought my first house, earned my real estate license, and found myself in the midst of one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. While working with folks to buy, sell, lease, and invest in real estate I am also a photographer and brand designer. My background is peppered with various projects spanning from hospitality design to documentaries to advertising to band tees. The eclectic nature of DFW suits me well, and I feel enormously lucky to spend the next chapter of my life building business and community here.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
HA, it’s been exclusively difficult. I think that’s the expected outcome for a curious self-starter. I’ve almost always chosen the path of most resistance because I’m obsessed with bringing ideas to life. Real estate has been a very unique extension to my repertoire and surprisingly much more creative than I expected. Exploring the market with my clients and coming up with solutions requires a lot of heart and mind, and it’s usually the exact opposite of smooth. However, pressure makes diamonds!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I joined Rogers Healy’s brokerage for a litany of reasons: first, I was new to Dallas and working 12+ hours a day from home. I wasn’t able to enjoy the city or integrate myself with the community the way I wanted to, and I had to find a way to accomplish those things. Second, I was introduced to Rogers through an agent of a different brokerage (she will go unnamed) which I found to be very interesting. Finally, while I fully expected real estate to throw an arsenal of curveballs and bombs at me, I had experienced crazy before (opening a hotel at 24 is not something I’d recommend to anyone).
Rogers has created something entirely unique at RHA with his zeal for music and individuals with grit. I fit into these categories well and believe that I’ve created an experience within my own business that is creative, empathetic, and most importantly effective. The current market is a whirlwind to navigate, and I pride myself in providing my clients with education and information so we’re all on the same page and confident. My background in creative design adds a layer of value to preparing a house for the market or helping a buyer envision their lifestyle in a new home. Overall, it’s about taking a step back from myself, truly caring about the good folks I work with, and going to bat for them.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
