Meet Edward “Ed” Perry II of Ed’s Media Photography in DFW Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward “Ed” Perry II.

Edward “Ed”, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ed’s Media Photography is a Photography business that I started straight out of high school. I’ve been out of high school for about six years now and business has been booming ever since.

Because of the pandemic we are in, myself and my staff thought it would be cool to throw a COVID-19 Senior Porch Photoshoot special. We only changed clients $10 for the Photoshoot. Initially, I didn’t think it’d get big but the post was shared throughout Facebook and even in multiple “Adopt A Senior” pages.

We know that these Seniors have been through a lot not being able to finish the school year and we also know some parents were furloughed and laid off. That’s why we made the shoot cheaper than what we normally charge. We just wanted to bless our community. Because of this, we were able to get Chick Fil-A in Red Oak, TX and Raising Canes in Lewisville, TX to sponsor us. We are creating gift bags for each client who booked us for our special and in the gift bag will be free item gift cards from both restaurants.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, it’s been smooth sailing. We love driving all across the DFW and meeting our new clients.

Please tell us about Ed’s Media Photography.
We are a photography company specializing in Event Photography. We do events anywhere from Banquets to Proms or Dances to Weddings.

I’m most proud of my staff. I have four staff members who have been by my side this entire journey and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I believe what sets us apart from others is the customer service. We aim to give each of our clients the best photography experience ever and have a lasting impression!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories would be when my mother bought me a laptop for Christmas. I was only about 9 or 10. I begin to edit videos and learn stuff about computers and now here I am taking photos and editing videos on a way bigger level than I did at ten years old.
