Endria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A few years ago I began giving scented candles as gifts to family and friends. I loved seeing how certain scents made people smile, dance or bring calmness to them. After a while, I noticed that there was a lack of a variety of non-traditional scents available. So I learned how to make candles but with my own fragrance recipes. My first fragrance recipe quickly became a highly requested favorite. I continued creating more fragrance recipes which were also well received.
In 2018 I decided to establish my company and website which is now known as Encore Scents by Endria. During the summer of 2019, I expanded my product line to include the most powerful and long-lasting air fresheners ever which immediately became best sellers. Encore Scents by Endria has grown to over 16 Encore Scents and are available in air fresheners(fragrance beads & sprays), candles, wax melts, lotions & body oils.
I am enjoying my journey and the interactions that I am having with clients and other business owners. I am excited about the present & future growth of Encore Scents by Endria, my hair product company, Encore Haircare and my YouTube channel, EndriaOnline. Being able to have a positive impact on someone’s life is a great gift and purpose that I am truly grateful for.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road and I appreciate the challenges that I have encountered which helped strengthen me and my company. My initial challenge was teaching myself how to make candles and create fragrance recipes at the same time. I invested a lot of time into researching different types of candle making techniques, waxes, wicks and oils that are needed to make Encore scented candles.
I enjoyed the process so much that I created more fragrance recipes than I planned to which created another challenge for me. I had to choose which scents to sale first and which scents I would save for later release dates. It took more time and research but it was definitely a great obstacle to overcome.
While growing my businesses, I pay attention to all of the yes and no’s that I hear. I see both as challenges to learn from and continue doing well or improve where needed to do better.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I really don’t believe in luck anymore. I believe that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we find or figure out why and sometimes we don’t. There is always a lesson to be learned in due time.
I have found that listening to fear can be a distraction from my purpose. It is up to me to choose carefully what I allow myself to hear. So luck does not play a role in my life and business but focus and maintaining positive energy always will.
