Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Hendrix.
Eric, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born in Michigan but moved to Dallas in the first grade. I started writing music when I was 12 years old.
I stayed persistent and believed in Myself, plus I have a great support system. I signed with the label, Versastyle LouvaStyle Entertainment in 2019. I have kids and that’s what keeps me motivated.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was tough on a mental level I wanted to quit plenty of times. I use to ask myself was music truly for me. Financially I just couldn’t afford studio time.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m an artist. I specialize in writing music. I released my first single “Don’t Do” Ft Boosie Badazz and I’m releasing my first E.P “Fair Warning “ July 10th, 2020. I’m proud of what my craft has become over time and I still have plenty of room to grow. I’m known for my music being something all age groups can relate to in some kind of way and I think that’s what sets me apart from others is that I make music that you just listen to and can actually feel the words.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I would have to say the first time I actually recorded a song. I was about 11 or 12 and I remember rapping in the closet on a desktop computer through headphones.
