Today we’d like to introduce you to Estefani Ruiz.
Hi Estefani, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi my name is Estefani Ruiz, I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. I migrated with my parents to the United States in 2004 to Dallas, Tx where I’ve been raised for the majority of my life. Growing up I always saw my parents work really hard for where they are now and it inspired me to not just work for somebody but rather take a chance and make something of my own. It all started back in October, 2022 when I decided to enroll in Esthetician school where my entrepreneurship career took off. Fast forward to January, 2023 during the time I was in school I worked really hard to master my skills with different beauty services but towards the end I fell in love with working with eyebrows. I graduated school in July, 2023 by September I was officially a Licensed Esthetician. During this process I was working at a coffee shop to fund my school and supplies, once I had all the supplies that I needed I started offering services from the comfort of my living room building strong relationships with clients that I have till this day. I wasn’t satisfied with the amount of clients I was bringing in so I started working for a company doing eyebrows to gain more skills and experience, but after a while I felt stuck and I had to make a change. In May, 2024 I decided to make a big adjustment and got my own personal suite and I felt like everything was going in the right direction. I started utilizing social media to my advantage to help expand my clientele and grow my business. So far it’s been over a year and I can now say it’s my full time job with many great clients and still growing.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road has been really difficult I’ve invested a lot of time, effort and money into building my business. There was times where I was making little to no profit due to paying the suite rent and purchasing supplies while still having my part time job, as a small business owner it can be a bit overwhelming as well as discouraging. Sometimes I would look at other beauty providers and I would start doubting myself thinking I couldn’t get more clientele but as the time went on I started to realize that as a service provider you give your clients the best service with a unique experience and that’s how you keep new and existing clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Licensed Esthetician and I specialize in brow waxing, brow laminations, brow tint and lash lifts. I started to fall in love with doing brows since the first time I did a brow lamination, the results were amazing! I tailor your brows to compliment your face features and help achieve your desired look so everyone’s brows will have its unique shape. I am known for always making my clients feel welcomed and comfortable while achieving your perfect brow.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Posting on Instagram and TikTok have helped me a lot through this journey starting with getting new clients and inspiring me to try new techniques on my services.
