Today we’d like to introduce you to Estela Trevizo.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Estela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Bella Modeling School in 2013 as a way to help build confidence in others through modeling. Growing up, modeling helped me with my confidence as well as with my poise, presentation, and communication with others. Those were skills that helped me in college and through my corporate career. Since I was still modeling, I was able to connect the dots between models, agencies, and photographers in the industry which helped the school take off to what it is today. We now enroll classes every month and have multiple agency models on board as instructors as well as a men’s program. We’ve helped many aspiring models get the right exposure to the modeling industry, and have had a lot of success with our students getting signed to agencies at graduation upon completion of our model training program. It’s been a very exciting journey and have big plans for the school in coming years!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think every new business has its growing pains when starting out, however, I feel that I’ve received a lot of support from my community and the modeling industry to help get the school to where it is today. My biggest challenge was managing all aspects of the business myself when starting out and sacrificing a lot of my personal time to work on developing this concept.
Bella Modeling School – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Bella Modeling School offers a complete 5-month model training program that covers runway, print modeling, on camera speaking, self care, and modeling industry overview. Our students walk away with a model portfolio, model resume, comp cards, and the knowledge needed to approach agencies or pursue freelance modeling. This experience is intended to grow their confidence, help them when going into their future careers and knowing how to present themselves to the world, along with pursuing a career in modeling.
What sets us apart from other modeling schools is our team of experienced agency model instructors, our smaller class sizes, the techniques that we incorporate into our curriculum, and our quality model portfolios.
My proudest moment as a company is seeing the difference our program makes in shaping the confidence in aspiring models.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I went to a Tony Robbins Seminar, Unleash the Power Within, when first starting this journey with the school. He mentioned something that really resonated with me. He said the 2 fundamental needs for long term happiness were Growth and Contribution. I felt that with Bella Modeling School I could both contribute to the students that went through my program as well as grow it into a sustainable brand with real world value for aspiring models. So therefore, I truly believe that success means being able to do what I love everyday and be truly happy while doing it.
