Today we’d like to introduce you to Evan Cutts.
Evan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am one of the MMA coaches and owners at Fitness Fight Factory. We offer Fitness Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing for kids and adults. Fitness Fight Factory was opened in 2010 and I bought into the business in 2012. I am currently 6-3 as a professional mixed martial artist. I competed on Spike TV’s reality series FightMaster: Bellator MMA season 1 fighting three times in the 32-man tournament. My business partner, Johnny Bedford is a UFC vet, who stared on The Ultimate Fighter on Fox Sports. His current record is 21-12. I began training under Johnny Bedford when I was 16 years old (I am currently 26) and then made my amateur debut in 2010. After a year as an amateur, I had four wins and one loss. I decided to make my pro debut in 2011 with a win. In 2016, I received my Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Professor Brandon Quick. I feel blessed to do what I do! I have been able to travel to quite a few different places for fighting and Jiu Jitsu.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Owning a business and training to be a professional fighter can be physically and mentally draining. I put in a lot of hours in at Fitness Fight Factory on the mats and in the office. I am lucky enough to have my wife work at the gym, which takes a lot of pressure off of me and Johnny. It is always a balancing act, but I am living my dream!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fitness Fight Factory – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are an MMA gym that offers Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and Fitness Kickboxing classes.
What sets our gym apart is that we have an all Pro Staff who are very personable and knowledgeable. Jiu Jitsu is a great self-defense tool for kids and adults! I would say that we are known for our skilled fight team. We have a lot of different MMA fighters who come from other gyms to train with us. I am most proud of the impact that we have made on our young members!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the night life (who doesn’t) and that there is always something to do. I would have to say the traffic is the only thing that I don’t enjoy about our city!
