Today we’d like to introduce you to Femi Fadahunsi.
Femi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started out as a kid who loved to smile. As I matured I began to appreciate the versatility of a smile. Its ability to create common ground with strangers and the fact that it is the handshake before the handshake. With time I began to appreciate the fact that everyone does not have a smile they are able to use in these situations the way I felt I could.
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to practice for five years side by side with some very talented dentists in Memphis, TN. I was able to take the skills I learned during this time and combine it with the latest advances in clinical dentistry to provide top notch care to my patients,
Has it been a smooth road?
The process of taking Wylie Dentistry Co. from an idea to reality was full of challenges. Venturing out into the unknown is always going to be a challenge but I was grateful to have a great support system to help me along the way. I learned the importance of communication. It’s easy to have a vision, but communicating your vision clearly to others was more difficult than expected. Overall I am grateful for the obstacles I faced as I was able to grow from each one.
We’d love to hear more about your practice.
Dental care should start with a relationship. People should have the opportunity to get comfortable with the person behind the mask. Patients should be able to connect with their dentist as people first. Only after that can we discuss personal things such as insecurities and fears allowing us to work through things together.
That was and is the driving force behind my office. Everything each person experiences is intentionally done to create an environment where we can create a unique and lasting relationship.
I am most proud of my team. I have been lucky to find team members who believe in my style of relationship-based individualized care. Without them, I would not be able to provide the experience our patients love.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I can’t think of a better city to be in than Wylie. This growing community is extremely supportive of local businesses. Also, the city is focused on helping small businesses like mine grow by providing resources and opportunities for exposure.
