Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisca Etuokwu-Benyeogor.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Francisca. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story is a journey of faith, a search for purpose, and a passion for impacting others positively. Going through challenges brought a significant turning point in my life spiritually. For me, there has to be much more to life. I had to do a soul search. I gave my life to Christ and began to engage in kingdom stewardship. Deeper thirst led me to attend a Bible school. It was there I had an encounter with the Lord and a call into ministry. With ministry having everything to do with Leadership, I went ahead to obtain a Master’s degree in Leadership.
2012 January, after ministerial assignment with a friend to Novato, California. The Lord spoke to my spirit, “Come out of the boat and walk on the waters” (Matthew 14:23-24). I told Him when I start sinking, please pull me up. I had to trust Him for every provision for the ministry. By faith, I stepped out of my boat of excuses on March 16th-17th, 2012. That led to our inaugural event Revival Fire Conference. It is a life-transforming event designed to provide spiritual upliftment through the instrumentality of worship, intercession, and workshops turning souls to righteousness. This event has been going on ever since. We have seen lives transformed.
Each step we took unlocked many other opportunities. We undauntedly got involved in doing more outreach feeding the homeless, empowering families, women, and the youth in the community. Our goal is to keep growing in God’s knowledge, serving with enthusiasm, reaching out to souls, bringing people together, and network with them. We have had opportunities to be guest ministers at events to share Christ’s message of hope, healing and restoration, and love. Our passion for impacting lives grew into writing and publishing the book, “The Waiting Game: When God Stops The Clock.” Waiting is a training platform. This book is about the complexities and challenges of waiting on God to answer prayers or move in some ways. It reveals what to do while you wait and your attitude where it seems that God has stopped His clock, and nothing appears to be happening. There is no permanent waiting moment, except you make it so. Get your copy of the book today on our website (www.aoghm.org), Amazon, and other bookstores.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I will say no because it has not been a smooth ride. It’s not without challenges, which are the staircases we need to get to our destinations in life. You never know what you can do until you make a move. The first challenge is finding the white line which is the starting point. Every turn asks you a question that you must answer by moving forward or wait on the Lord. I didn’t know what to do or who to talk to. I was doing so many things simultaneously, particularly schooling and running the ministry, which wasn’t easy for me to handle. It was full of divided attention and also taking care of the family. I was trying to reinvent the wheel. At a point, I was overwhelmed with the things I was facing. I felt like giving up; no one knew what I was going through. People only saw a beautiful young lady, but they have no clue about what was going on in my life.
I had to keep encouraging myself in the word of God. Due to the pressures of trying to finish my medical course, I didn’t take time to appreciate the little steps that God has given me the grace to embark on. I was obsessed with the medical field, looking at the bigger picture of my plans. I thought I was on the right track where resources will come in, and the Lord will use it in combination with the ministry. Summer 2015, the dream of proceeding further in the medical field came crashing down. There was nothing I didn’t try. Even my classmate told me, “Mrs. Fran, maybe this is not your call (the medical thing) since you have been on the journey for years why don’t you take time and ask the Lord the right way.” After our annual event ‘Revival Fire Conference,’ another major break happened, and the Lord said to me, “It is in My hands to make great and not what I was pursuing.” (1 Chronicles 29:12).
At this point, I had to surrender everything to God. That same year November, I got a promotion. When it came to the book, I had to pass the hurdles of publishing it, financing it, and marketing it. His timing is everything, and His plans and purpose towards me are more excellent than my plans (Jeremiah 29:11). Here I am today when I look around me; I see His imprint and goodness. I have every reason to give Him praise and glory.
Please tell us about Armor Of God Healing Ministries.
Our organization is Armor of God Healing Ministries, a non-denominational, Christ-centered help and healing ministry founded on Biblical principles. We are commissioned by God for ministry and service to Impact Life, with a message of faith, hope, and restoration. We restore colorful destinies unto all that come unto God, believing His word’s unlimited power that has the potency to deliver through faith. Through the instrumentality of intercession, worship, praise, training (business, mentorship, and leadership) Conferences, Revivals, Media, Evangelism, and Teaching the word of God.
Through the service of help and healing, we foster spiritual growth to meet emotional and physical needs by comforting the brokenhearted, ministering salvation to the lost, feeding the hungry, and ministering to the elderly, widows, and the sick. We serve them in a dignified and respectful manner. We also minister deliverance to the Glory of God, which results in setting people free from the spirit of heaviness and sadness through humor, joy, and distribution of publications. The ministry hosts various conferences and workshops to reach and empower our communities.
We also partner with other organizations and ministries whose focus is on the ‘whole’ person, as we propagate the Gospel. We specialize in helping people discover their destinies, empowering, educating, encouraging, and equipping those who dare to believe that God can and will do what He has purposed to do in their lives. As a ministry, we are known for giving hope to the hopeless, ministering to the needy, and caring for the elderly, widows, and orphans. It is our joy to see lives transformed.
We are proud of making a difference in other people’s lives, adding values to them. We are blessed to be a blessing to others with the love of God that is contagious. We are always dynamic in our events. We are Kingdom focused, mission-oriented, and purpose-driven with a message to this generation. We embrace diversity, empowering, and equipping them through our different events; Revival Fire Conference, The Awakening Prayer, Transforming Moment, Wealth Creation, Health and Wellness, Graceful Women Impact, and Youth Arise (building a legacy), fellowshipping, and networking.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I want to thank the Lord for the journey thus far (Luke 17:15-16). He deserves all the glory.
My most prominent supporters, cheerleaders, and advocates are my parents and family members. I love and sincerely appreciate them, dearly. I can do what I do because I have a supportive husband. My mission and training trips are planned out by him, making sure I get to the airport or bus station at the right time. Sometimes he prefers to drive me to the stations, making sure I board safely, especially if it’s an early trip, and if I need to commute myself, he makes sure that the car is in good condition. We work and minister together as a team, and he assists with our son on administrative and technical issues. On my return, they are either at the station or airport to welcome me home. My son Emmanuel, is the chief cheerleader, my photographer always cheering me on.
