Meet Taylor Siemens of Fresh Image Cosmetic Surgery Center in Far North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Siemens.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Taylor. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began my journey in aesthetic medicine two years ago with a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. John Standefer at Fresh Image. After working for several years in the hospital setting, I came to realize that it is a challenge for me to separate work and personal life like so many providers can do. My husband gave me the idea to try “something happy”. I had the goal to steer my career towards aesthetics or plastic surgery since the day I decided to enter the medical field. I met Dr. Standefer with one year left in my nurse practitioner program. It was the perfect timing to focus my development as an NP under his training.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting something new always feels risky and uncomfortable. I am blessed to be surrounded by great encouragers and people who believed in me. Having a supportive community allows those bumps in the road to easily become the next challenge to overcome. I think it is all about mindset. I was told once by a mentor “if you aren’t encountering daily challenges, you aren’t chasing hard enough after your dreams”. Every time a bump appeared, it became easier to view it as the next obstacle to overcome. This has created the opportunity for a lot of celebrations along the way. I am learning that success is in every small step you make towards your goals, not only in the outcome of crossing the finish line. The recent struggles have included the unknowns of starting my own business. It requires a large amount of research to ensure every step is set up appropriately. There is so much conflicting information out there that it is a struggle to find what works best for me and my patients. I am having a blast figuring out how I want my business to be structured and how I can best serve those that trust me with their aesthetic needs!

Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I work full time with Dr. Standefer at Fresh Image. My days are spent in the operating room for facial plastic surgeries, performing laser procedures and injectables (filler and anti-wrinkle injections) and managing bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Patients know me best for my work with Sciton lasers and injectables. I take pride that our patients trust me to help them with their aesthetic needs. I value enhancing our patients’ beauty and focusing on their individual goals. I love having the chance to help increase patient confidence and making sure they know they are valued for more than just their physical attributes. It is important to me to consider many aspects when helping a patient determine their treatment plan: budget, fears, desired outcomes and addressing preconceived notions about the field of medical aesthetics in general.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My company, Aesthetic Care NP is set to launch October 1, 2019. My plans include pouring into my new business (while still growing my expertise at Fresh Image) to allow us to reach all across DFW to assist in aesthetic needs. We specialize in thread lifts. PDO threads can be placed to tighten skin and stimulate collagen. They are a wonderful non-surgical option to lift the face, neck, arms, thighs, and MUCH more! I am most proud of this company because we are structured to take care of our patients’ needs and provide options for those who do not desire surgery or are not surgical candidates. I believe the personal touch of this boutique company will set us apart for patients and clinics we partner with.

I am so excited about the networking opportunities and connections that will be made because of Aesthetic Care NP. I am constantly searching for opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. I have some really great partnerships in the coming months, so stay tuned!
