Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Allridge.
Hi Gary, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got into photography back in 2007. I used to own a custom auto paint shop, and I hired a local photographer to take pics of some of finished projects with models. You know, just regular promotional content. Well, I would sit there and just ask the photographer questions. A lot of questions LOL. I am naturally a control freak, so I figured I would give it a try. I never looked back. I’ve been hooked ever since. I would always take breaks from shooting, but now I am full-time photographer. I shoot real estate during the day, and I own and operate my own studio, SWG Studios, the rest of the time. It’s been a journey, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. A lot of trial and error. I do not have any formal training, and a lot of other photographers are very secretive with their skills. Trust me, I do understand why. But no, I really feel that I understand the importance of defining your brand.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I won and operate photography and videography studio. I specialize in maternity and branding content. I am best known for my clean and crisp images. All my work has the same style, but everything always looks different. I also had a maternity image I shot go viral, which attracted clients from all over the US. The image has actually been viewed by millions of people across the globe.
I offer high-end services. Eery client is different. I hardly ever shoot 2 clients the same…Except for my signature Hanging Concept Maternity Look.
I also do branding video content as well.
