Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgia Rocquelle.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was fresh out of high school I saw all my friends going to college doing something with their lives. At the time I was working at Starbucks making 7.50, I wanted to do more with my life. I woke up and signed up for cosmetology school. I remembered in school I kept saying I didn’t want to learn nothing else but to do sew-ins. My teacher came to me and told me about eyelash extensions I learned how to do them. I got into a terrible relationship and at that time I had got my license to become a dental assistant. My partner at the time made me choose between dental assistant or cosmetology. I promised myself when I got away from him, and into a 2 bedroom, I would start doing lashes again. We broke up got a 2 bedroom with my partner and I took off and expanded got my own suite started doing Claudia Jorden lashes, teaching classes, and expanding my business BESTFRIENDS ROOM.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No. I was pregnant in cosmetology I had a stillborn, and it pushed my learning back. Me losing my daughter was my motivation to finish school. Once graduating, I was in a controlling relationship that stopped me from doing what I loved to do. I left and built a very successful foundation and support system.

Bestfriends Room is a place you can come relax get your hair and/or lashes done and feel comfortable with me. I treat all my clients like they are my best friends, they can tell or talk to me about anything without being judge. I don’t like seeing my clients only during tax time or when they got a big check. I’m affordable I was once that girl who wanted a service but didn’t have the money. Every year I try to learn something new or offer a new service to expand my business.
