Today we’d like to introduce you to Germaine Vlok.
Hi Germaine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a certified photographer ready to challenge my photography in anyway I can. My main focus is to make you my client feel confident and make the experience with me a lasting memory to enjoy and cherish your photos for a lifetime. I am going to ask a lot of questions to get to know you and I am here to guide you in any way with styling, posing, locations, etc.
I am a wife and a Mom of three beautiful kiddos that keeps me on my toes everyday. My family is everything to me and I am enjoying every moment of it. I am originally from South Africa and moved with my husband to the US in 2003. We lived in Nashville, Atlanta and now in the beautiful Dallas, Texas. You will not miss my accent. I have been doing photography for over 15 years. I am mainly a natural light photographer but also use studio lights. I have an in-home studio in Argyle, TX. I adore my clients and I am so thankful to be able to do what I love and be with my kids when they need me. That is such a privilege and I am very blessed. I specialize in Business Headshots, Business Branding, High School Seniors, Families, etc. I also do on-location shoots, so call me if you have a special project.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road was not easy at all. Having three kids in-between has been hard, also moving and starting over in two different states was not easy but I love photography so much that I pushed through. Every year is still a battle; there so so many amazing photographers out there so you have to work hard to stay in the market. I make a point of learning something new everyday, either photoshop or learning more about lighting, studio lights, etc.

I specialize in Business Headshots, Business Branding, High School Senior photos and Families. I have been doing a lot of different studio sessions and def want to grow my business in that directions; model, pageant, etc. headshots have been a lot of fun to do.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Oh gosh, I love North Texas; we moved to Argyle about nine months ago. This area is so beautiful and I just love all the parks and the people here are amazing.
Least is they are building so much that all the beautiful fields are going away!
