Today we’d like to introduce you to Gillian Goldthorpe and Cleve Joiner.
Cleve Joiner III has always had a passion for good wine and good company. What began as his own personal journey into the world of winemaking has now evolved towards opening his first winery.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Having never owned a business before, we’ve had experienced many mishaps. Many of the mishaps are hilarious to recall (now it’s over), one in particular comes to mind is when wine I was transferring wine from one tank to another and I accidently dropped the hose that was transferring the wine. I was about 12 feet off the ground when this happened and my poor wife was standing below and became drenched in red wine. The red wine also splattered all the walls in red so it looked like a crime scene.

Our wines are handcrafted and we take great pride in producing a natural product as possible. Our sweet wines do not contain sugar – they are sweetened from the grape as nature intended.
We take pride in being the first winery in Lewisville, Texas. In every part of our winemaking craft we strive on craftsmanship and harmony of our wine.

What were you like growing up?
Very creative and energetic and very interested in culture. My mother was from France and my grandmother was from England.
