Meet Goran Krndija of Gozova in Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Goran Krndija.

Goran, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was a junior attending college at UTA and always struggled finding someone with a truck since I drove a compact car. The alternative was renting a UHAUL or asking friends, the U-Haul was a lengthy time process and a lot of times their inventory is low. Majority of my friends drove compact cars and the ones that had trucks our schedules didn’t align. The solution is take the UBER model and connect customers to a truck when they need it. This would allow them to schedule it for whenever they needed it and they wouldn’t have to worry about someone helping them since all our trucks come with 2 guys ready to work.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, we made a lot of mistakes and it was a challenge introducing a service that runs through an app to people in Texas. We thought our audience would be college students since they tend to move a lot and drive smaller vehicles, but we were wrong. Another challenge we faced is people would download the app but would stop when it came to entering their credit card information since we were so new and they never heard of it. People in Texas still like the old model where you can call someone and do it over the phone, so we added a phone number for that reason. We also struggled to pair supply and demand, matching trucks with demand as we focused on a bigger map than just one area. Thankful to say today all those problems have been resolved.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Gozova – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a tech company but our biggest emphasis is customer service, we really work with customers from start to finish. We are known for simplifying buying a bigger object and not having to worry about how you will get it home. We are most proud when we see that we have repeat business and our customers spread the word for us, I think that is every business’s dream. What sets us apart is that we go the extra mile, you can reach us at any time and we will reply very shortly and we go above and beyond to satisfy you.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are definitely looking to grow our team and enter bigger markets as well. Currently our plans is to expand in the DFW area and then go from there.
