Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Tyler.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Music has always been a passion of mine. I spent my childhood singing in talent shows to karaoke bars. Growing up in an area that was so focused on sports, I felt that I had to participate in them to feel like I belonged. After countless years of playing every sport imaginable, I decided I wanted to give them all up to focus on my music. Pursuing music was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. Music has become my outlet. There is nothing like the rush that sets in the second I hit the stage. Songwriting and performing have allowed me to expose myself to a crowd of strangers and build relationships with people I have never met. To be able to do this is one of the most amazing feelings in the world and I am blessed to have created a career in music at such a young age.
Please tell us about your art.
The music I make is a mix of country pop. While my songwriting is more set-in stone on country, I like to cover multiple genres such as rock and pop. Performing and singing has always been my passion. Songwriting is the newest addition to my music career and I have loved getting to express the things I have experienced in a song. I want my music to be something people can relate to but I also want to stay true to myself. I work hard to make sure my music is everything I want it to be before singing it live or recording it. I am a perfectionist and want to make sure everything I release is my best work.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Success to me is being able to perform my music and making an impact people’s lives. There is nothing more rewarding than people hearing my music and my words inspiring them. As long as I am able to perform music I believe that my music career will be a success. To be successful, you have to be hard working and be kind to everyone you meet. There are so many talented people in this world so being kind and working hard will separate you from everyone else.
