Today we’d like to introduce you to Grecia Garza.
Grecia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Real estate found me, I didn’t go out searching for it. I was a Pre-Med student at Texas Christian University when I was approached by a friend to obtain my real estate license. I thought the idea was outlandish, I always dreamt of being a doctor and at this point, I had shadowed so many medical professionals that I was sure I was going to pursue Neuro-Gastroenterology, the study between the gut and the brain. I was fascinated by Science and I truly believed that was my destiny. Well, God had something different planned. I was finally convinced to obtain my real estate license where I assisted my friend with his clients. A few summers later, I graduated from TCU and you guessed it, I didn’t go on to Medical School. Instead, I moved to Dallas to work for a private brokerage and this is where my journey began.
Working for a private brokerage gave me the insight I needed into the Dallas Real Estate market. I was observant, and I tried to absorb as much as I could. When I felt I was ready to go out on my own, I made the move to my current brokerage and growing continued. I’ve been fortunate to have met so many incredible people who have helped me along my real estate journey. My career is based on referrals, so servicing my clients in the highest form has been my top priority. I have successfully been a part of hundreds of real estate transactions. Some have been more rewarding than others, but I always remind myself that there is something to learn in each transaction and interaction.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I faced many obstacles in the beginning. This career can be mentally and physically exhausting if you allow it to be. My first major obstacle was my age. I was seemingly one of the youngest agents at my firm and in the industry. I had so much to learn and was so eager. Some didn’t take me seriously, and many times I felt my voice wasn’t being heard. Instead of leaning into that thought that I was unworthy because of my age, I chose to immerse myself with as much training and dove deep into market research (my science degree really came in handy here).
As my market knowledge deepened, my business began to grow and I was starting to get more traction. Like many sales positions, the highs were high and lows were low. I had to learn how to build a business that was always flourishing. I became more organized, disciplined and created systems. Accepting the need for improvement was life-changing, I truly believe that there is always room for growth.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Grecia Garza Dallas Real Estate – what should we know?
My business is about serving others. I sell residential real estate throughout DFW. I believe that my approach to selling real estate is what sets me apart. I think the process should be as transparent as possible, that is done so by leading with information and data. Clients want to feel like they are heard and understood, whether they are selling or buying. A strong knowledge in the market, strong negotiation skills and a broad network will take you far. I am personable and understanding, I like to hear my clients stories, what moves them and excites them. I will be soon approaching a decade in the business, I am ecstatic to see how the market continues to grow and evolve.
