Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Painter.
Hi Haley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
At 19, I stepped into the salon world with no roadmap just a passion for hair and a heart full of hope. I was the first in my family to attend college, and while the path wasn’t easy navigating the challenges of dyslexia and ADHD I pushed through. Every day, I worked hard to grow, to learn, and to become a better stylist than I was the day before.
I found inspiration in the people around me, especially one amazing coworker whose leap of faith into her own photography business lit a spark in me. If she could chase her dream, so can I? With no business background and barely enough savings to cover a deposit and one month’s rent, I took the biggest leap of my life and opened my own salon.
Envy Co opened its doors in August of 2021 with three stylists and a whole lot of faith. Just one month later, we expanded, nearly doubling our team to eight stylists. It all grew faster than I ever dreamed but the heart of it was always clear. Envy Co wasn’t just a business. It was a calling.
Our foundation wasn’t built on rigid rules or corporate structures it was built on love. Love for Jesus, love for others, and a belief that beauty should always feel like home. Our space is cozy, kind, and creative , where everyone is welcomed with warmth, encouraged in their growth, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
By 2025, Envy Co grew again, now a home to 17 stylists, each with their own gifts and stories, all under one roof. And what a beautiful roof it is. Every mural, every laugh, every heart-to-heart with a client. we’ve built something deeper than just a salon. We’ve built a family, a safe haven, a place where beauty, purpose, and peace live side by side.
This journey has been the greatest blessing I never saw coming. Envy Co is more than a salon. it’s a reflection of what happens when faith leads the way and love writes the story.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I mainly struggled with my learning dyslexia and ADHD . I had a lot of anxiety and fear with the what if’s and being the first in my family to do something like this. I chose to lean into the word and trust in the lord that he had a plan for this opportunity.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I Haley Painter specialize in live in colors, blondes and extensions. As for my salon we specialize in all hair services
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
my favorite childhood memory must be a classic to some. Its my grandmother taking me with her to the hair salon every week. We would even stop by on a random day to visit not receive a service as if this hair salon was home
