Meet Hamza Abdallah of ThriveOnLife in Irving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hamza Abdallah.

Hamza, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Family. Perspective. Mission. These three consequential cornerstones are what essentially molded me into the person I am today…

With my father a retired military general and my mother a former school teacher, I grew up in a household that valued discipline, diligence and encouraged striving for greatness. Whether it be excellence in academia or quality performance in sports, we were expected to strive for above par results in anything we do. My FAMILY played a huge role in my upbringing because they helped instill a fear in me…… not the kind of fear that drags you down, but rather the one that fuels and drives you. The fear of mediocrity…. Life is a gift and every breath, moment and second we are blessed with is an opportunity to explore and UNLOCK the full potential of our lives.

Not only did my family build my ambitious mindset, but they also enabled me to have PERSPECTIVE. Growing up in a military family, I have had the opportunity to travel to over seven countries and three continents. Observing the people within different cultures, beliefs and lifestyles only served to open my eyes and heart to an epiphany…. Regardless of the differences of our beliefs, the languages we speak or the color of our skin, we are all human beings and the only way we can truly THRIVE on life is to collaboratively create a harmonious community.

Bearing this broad perspective and my deep love for entrepreneurship allowed me to shape my personal MISSION. I strive to inspire others and myself to strive to truly UNLOCK our full potential. Our potential is limitless and can comprise of anything that our mind can conceive, so we will never really be ‘unlocked,’ rather always be in pursuit of ‘unlocking’ it.

Entrepreneurship is my most prevalent purpose right now. Not only is it the key to achieving time autonomy and personal freedom, but it arms you with the tools you need to create an impact on a massive scale. I am infatuated with the process of building…creating. To me, entrepreneurship is a vehicle for driving impact.

Currently, I am building ThriveOnLife with my business mentor/partner CJ Finley. With a mission to enable other people, brands and businesses to ‘THRIVE’, we help people systemize and grow their passions. Simultaneously, I am a full-time student at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em).

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road will never be smooth. Nothing worth having… comes easy.

BALANCE. Striving for balance has been and still is one of the toughest challenges for me yet. Whether it be balancing immediate obligations like college assignments, or trying to maintain a social/family life or even self-care, it can be a struggle. Nonetheless, it is a quest that undoubtedly everyone one of us are trying to figure out.

The quest for balance introduced a dilemma between whether investing my full effort in academics or pursuing my entrepreneurial aspirations. At first, I wrongly thought it was had to be either choice. I used to think being in school is a burden. However, shifting my perspective drastically changed mindset.

Firstly, the opportunity to attend higher education at a college is a blessing because not everyone gets a chance to do so. Secondly, it granted me access to a network of 50,000+ students on top of the opportunities available. With a vast community, access to networks and entrepreneurial hubs, it is my duty to proactively seek out opportunities.

When we make an effort to count our blessings and really utilize everything we are granted, life gets a tad bit easier.

ThriveOnLife – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
ThriveOn was founded on the basis of enabling others to truly ‘THRIVE’ on life. Whether it be other people, brands, businesses or communities, our goal is to help everyone accomplish their wildest dreams. ThriveOn is a lifestyle company that branches off and encompasses several other methods to implement and scale value.

Through strategy development, management & digital consulting, as well as content production, we help systemize processes and build infrastructures for growth. As the President of Digital Media, I help identify customer personas, curate story-led content and build sustainable marketing campaigns for other mission-based entrepreneurs and companies.

As a company, we are most proud of our ability to build & bring communities together. Our goal isn’t just to grow the bottom line on the balance sheet, rather we do it for the people. With a long term goal to disrupt the education space, I am currently taking initiatives to slowly build communities by throwing workshops & events with practical and actionable value.

We are more than just a consulting company. We resemble a lifestyle… As I mentioned earlier, one of our most differentiating factors is our ability to build communities and advocate lifestyle development through business & entrepreneurship.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment thus far has been the opportunity to host educational workshop and help throw community events and spread the love for entrepreneurship. I am loving the process of bringing my vision for helping others into fruition and I’m forever grateful for the inspiring people I am meeting on this journey.
