Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Miller.
Hannah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As long as I can remember, I have always loved Fashion and Interiors. I am self-taught, taken a few online courses for technical and am constantly absorbing from many design influences. What better place to learn than from those in front of you. It encourages me that there are so many designers willing to cheer you on. I have always had an entrepreneur thirst that was never fully quenched until INTERIOR RUNWAY was born!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Through a challenging journey, I finally knew what I wanted to be when I grew up! My earlier years didn’t consist of interior education but earned my degree as hands-on experience being a Mama of five! Being a Mom has fulfilled me in so many ways but guess what, kids actually grow up! While they were small my entrepreneur heart was constantly concocting side ventures from cleaning apartments to a hand made jewelry line. I have always felt like I was looking to fulfill my creative appetite, but that wasn’t fulfilled until I started Interior Design about five years ago.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the INTERIOR RUNWAY story. Tell us more about the business.
Everyone has a creative sense and my job is to bring it out in them. By offering full service remodel and Interior Design, no project is too big or too small. With E-Design you can affordably capture a visualization of a space all through virtual communication. This is a fantastic option for smaller spaces or adding to existing pieces. I am most proud of creating INTERIOR RUNWAY because it encompasses who I am. I love seeing Fashion and Interiors collide and that I don’t have to pick one or the other! I am best known for transforming ordinary spaces into purposeful atmospheres through Creativity, Functionality, and Lifestyle.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t contribute my journey to luck. I have had so many seasons, incredible ones to very painful ones. I know without a doubt my gifts come solely from God. Most people who know my story wouldn’t believe it but I am persistent and I contribute my success to God’s faithfulness and strength. It is my responsibility that I bring glory to Him with the gifts He has given me. If I can add value to even one person a day that’s enough for me, that’s success! I think He gets a kick out of the excitement I have doing this and the smiles it brings to my clients!
