Hellene, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started making T-shirts in 2008 for an event we had to attend in Michigan. My husband had a company then and we wanted to give T-shirts as promotional products. We continued making shirts, decals, and other items for fun, friends, and family but not for profit. In 2015, we moved to McKinney, Texas and decided to bring all our commercial equipment with us in case we needed to make shirts for fun. One day, I made a cup for work and a shirt, I started getting requests and we started assembling all our equipment and decided to open for business to the public. I started taking orders from my former co-workers and they guided me to obtaining a business license, craft fairs, and started giving me orders to fill. My husband was also getting orders from work and got a hold of a local screen printing shop in McKinney that guided him to where to obtain all the supplies.
There, we found about classes we could take and in one of our trips, we met a screen printer who offered his help and guided us through the local and biggest screen printing and promotional products show in the nation. We started taking classes and hearing the needs of the locals, every time we got a request for something we looked into buying the equipment for it. Our families are a great support system and they cheer us on with all our new equipment needs. We started expanding and in 2016, I became a full time, stay at home mom and business owner. It was then when I was able to expand the business to what it is now. We started networking, meeting other business owners, and advertising on the local Facebook groups. One of our dearest family friends introduced us to our church and they helped us get the account for the church. I am happy to say that we now have churches, schools, business and of course, a lot of moms whom we serve.
We are able to serve so many people since we offer more than shirts! We make all promotional products, personalized gifts, closing gifts, etc. But best of all, we create memories that last. We help you celebrate your successes and make a name for your self and your business with promotional products.
Has it been a smooth road?
I can’t say that it has been a smooth or bumpy road. Although we have had some little bumps in the road, we have been very fortunate to have a great support system of family and friends who have helped us with encouragement, guidance, and referrals that have gotten us this far. The main struggle is time management with the family, but we have been fortunate enough to hire a few employees to delegate certain responsibilities and to buy better and faster equipment that allows us to have time with our loved ones.

We offer sandblasting and that is permanently removing a layer on the glass to give it an “etched” look, making a permanent statement on any glassware!
We offer pad printing, ink impressions into glass, mugs, sunglasses, pens, etc.
We offer embroidery for personal and business use.
All services are done in-house and very minimum outsourcing is required.

We love the small town feeling of McKinney and how close you can get to know everyone. Though Personalized Touch, we have met customers that are now great friends!
