Today we’d like to introduce you to HGNS (Hippie Guy Named Stretch).
HGNS, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always loved music. I grew up on neo soul & hip hop from Eryrkah Badu to D’Angelo to OutKast to Kendrick Lamar. I started writing my own music at 18, discovering different mellowed’s and the art of storytelling with the help of TLMM (The Life Made Me), King Yell, & Trey Loud with many other producers. Made me where I am today your friendly neighborhood hippie HGNS (Hippie Guy Named Stretch).
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It still bumps on the road having the time to make new sounds and finding the right samples to the beats my team makes some never get cleared. There are tracks I have had to redo or put in the vault due to some examples or if it was for the right season.
Please tell us about your work.
I bring people together like Woodstock in 1960 with collaborating with others on videos, shows, music I bring the funk vibe new sounds and a whole lot of wire to the table. Proud of showing my ism’s and creative mindset with others. The music I make is ahead of its time I set apart from others with what I call hippie music the groove and waves with euphoric bars.

None of this would have happened without my brother Nate~G of Soulfrequencies. Thats my mentor taught me how to rap, the ways of creating the concept, & Bars. The squad of producers I know TLMM, King Yell, TreyLoud, & Quna-O-Music getting together every day helping me build the hippie music.
