Has it been a smooth road?
The main obstacle has been to be able to obtain a place within a market that is very competitive and that is full of very talented people.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Azteca Records story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a record label company specialized in regional Mexican music. We are dedicated to finding talent in development to support them and boost their career. Such is the case of La EnergíaNorteña and La Maquinaria Norteña. As a company, we are proud to provide quality music that has made our groups obtain nominations for recognized awards such as Latin Grammy and American Grammy’s. What sets us apart from the rest is that the main labels of this genre are located in cities such as Los Angeles and Mexico City and we are located in a city that is characterized by listening to another type of music, and step by step we have been gaining the territory. Also, the lyrics and content of others are based on controversial themes and our groups are characterized by singing to love.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As in everything, the market is changing as well as the tastes of the people so we are always aware of what our audience wants to continue to provide good music. So in the future, we see ourselves experimenting with new musical proposals but without leaving aside the ones we have and always being faithful to our genre and style.
